What is Smart training by SATS?

Smart training by SATS is a guided training experience designed to help you get started, stay consistent, and see results.

  1. It begins with a Smart Start: a body scan and physical tests together with a Personal Trainer, giving you a clear understanding of your fitness level, strength, mobility, and overall health. You’ll also gain insight into your BioAge – giving you a simple way to understand your starting point and track how you progress over time.

  2. Based on your results, you’ll receive a personalised training program in the SATS app. You can follow your program in the way that suits you – on your own, with a PT, or through Smart Circuit (smart machines that automatically adjust to you).

  3. After 8 weeks, you can return for a Smart Scan: a follow-up session to track your progress, see if you have improved your BioAge, and update your program.

Step 1: Book your free Smart Start

Together with a personal trainer, you complete an analysis that gives you an indication of your current fitness level and physical capacity.

You’ll gain insight into your strength, mobility, and overall condition, along with clear, simple guidance on how to get started with a training program tailored to your level and needs.

Step 2: Follow your personalised training program

Based on your results, you’ll receive a personalised training program in the SATS app - designed specifically for you. It’s built to help you get started, stay consistent, and build lasting training habits in a simple and structured way. Your personal gymhack. You can follow your program in the way that suits you best:

  • On your own in the gym

  • Together with a Personal Trainer

  • Or through smart machines: SATS Smart Circuit (optional add-on)

Step 3: Follow-up with a Smart Scan

After 8 weeks, we recommend to take a new Smart Scan to follow-up your results of the trainingprogram.

Together with a PT you will do a new scan and an updated training program based on your progress and goals. This helps you see improvements, celebrate and keep the good habit!

The session last 30 min and can be booked without fee a limited period.

Smart Circuit

Train with smart machines that automatically adjust resistance and intensity to your level and your training program.

In under 30 minutes, you get a full body workout that’s simple, effective and motivating. 💪

Smart Training by SATS is currently being tested as a pilot at selected clubs in Norway and Sweden. The offering may vary slightly between clubs.

Smart Training by SATS will launch at these clubs on May 11, 2026 💙

Book a free Smart Start session in the SATS App or at your club. A Personal Trainer will guide you through the session and help you get started with a personalised training plan.

To book a Smart Start, you need access to a club that offers Smart Training. If you’re still unable to book, please contact the reception at the club for assistance

Smart Training is for anyone who wants an easier way to get started, or a smarter way to move forward.

It’s a great fit if you:

  • are new and want help getting started

  • want a clear plan to follow

  • like simple, structured workouts

  • enjoy tracking your training and want better insights to improve your results

Smart Start is included for all members.

Smart Scan (a re-test session) costs 499 NOK per session.

Smart Circuit is an optional add-on. You can try it for free now, and from October it will cost 149 NOK per month. If you have a Premium membership, Smart Circuit is included.

The Wallet Pass is a digital access card (NFC) that you add to the wallet on your phone through the SATS App. It is required to unlock the Smart Training experience at the club. Without it, your session cannot start.

Having trouble opening your access card?

If Vipps or another wallet app is set as your default wallet, it may open automatically when you double-tap or hold your phone near the scanner.

Your SATS access card is still available in Apple Wallet. Simply search for “Wallet” on your iPhone, open your SATS access card, and hold your phone near the scanner.

You start with a PT, but after that you can train on your own, follow your plan, or continue with a PT if you want more support.

No 😊 Smart Training is designed for all levels, especially if you’re new and want a simple and safe way to get started.

Your results and training plan are available in the SATS App. You can also book a Smart Scan to update your results and see your progress over time.

BioAge (Biological age) is a simple score that reflects your current fitness level based on your test results from body scan, strength test and flexibility test.

A lower biological age than your actual age means your body is performing well and reflects a good level of fitness.
